I was super chuffed to win a gorgeous stamp Set from Steph the other day .
They are from Clearly Besotted which is Stephs new venture using her sister Jennys stunning artwork. I have to say I am blown away by the quality of these stamps. They stamp beautifully giving a very fine outline ..OOOH I just love um!
I decided to have a go at a technique that I had seen on the CB facebook page by one of the super talented design team Debby Hughs were she had embossed the image in white before colouring. I will deffo be doing it again!
I used prisma color pencils to colour my image
I used my scoring board to make a lattice effect and added a touch of handstitching and a couple of heart pearls to finish.
I have no idea why but I have had a good cry making this card. It just so reminds me of my beloved Nan who passed away earlier this year. I cannot begin to explain how much I miss her :( She would have loved this card :)

I have never thought of embossing white on white, and then actually colouring it in - the effect is stunning; a really beautiful card, so pretty.

Stunning card Kerry... love that white embossed effect too and your colouring is fabulous. Sorry that you were sad, but sometimes we need to cry, especially when we miss people we love... it actually does us good. I miss my sister so much even after three and a half years... so often I find something that reminds me of her and I feel a tear coming on!

Wow your colouring is beautiful! I've only recently tried pencils, a couple of Faber Castell polychromos but want to try Prisma too before buying more. Many thanks for the shout out too :)

First, I like the simplicity and neatness of the card. The tinge of pink is so feminine plus the pink rose make a great embellishment. Wedding invites should look as classy as this.
