I was super chuffed to win a gorgeous stamp Set from Steph the other day .
They are from Clearly Besotted which is Stephs new venture using her sister Jennys stunning artwork. I have to say I am blown away by the quality of these stamps. They stamp beautifully giving a very fine outline ..OOOH I just love um!
I decided to have a go at a technique that I had seen on the CB facebook page by one of the super talented design team Debby Hughs were she had embossed the image in white before colouring. I will deffo be doing it again!
I used prisma color pencils to colour my image
I used my scoring board to make a lattice effect and added a touch of handstitching and a couple of heart pearls to finish.
I have no idea why but I have had a good cry making this card. It just so reminds me of my beloved Nan who passed away earlier this year. I cannot begin to explain how much I miss her :( She would have loved this card :)
oh my you would not believe the day I have had. It is a very long story and involves loosing a purse and being stranded in town ..... having no gas ( still have no gas even though it was only supposed to be for a couple of hrs..freezing!) and no internet allday which was also only supposed to be for a few hrs and maybe off tomorrow too!!! :( So hence the reason I am super late with my DT card..anyway here it is:
I would love to say and now I am of for a long hot bath to soak ....but it will be a quick shower as that is leccy :( and straight into bed before I freeze to death..Ok I may be exagorating slighty lol but it is BRRRR!
I did slightly alter the plain green by dotting with a prisma pencil and colours are a bit of on the picture due to my pathetic excuse of a camera. I am still trying to talk hubby into having a new one for his chrimbo pressie. I am not having much success as I think he has rumbled the reason lol
Morning all. Early posting for me today. Thought I might as well get on with stuff as I've been up half the night with my demented cat! She was determined to get in my bedroom around 4 o'clock this morning. At one point she was running from the other end of the landing and launching herself at the door. We have the doors with the two decorative glass panels at the top and she had managed to stick her nails into the wood just below the glass and was hanging on for dear life ....I could just see her little eyes peering through the glass whilst giving out the most pathetic cry you ever did hear..Not good for the door! but she does make me lol Anyways, enough waffle and on to my card for today.
Just stopping by to show you a quick cutie I made from the mulberry wood download from CC magazine
The paper is from a very old DCWV Christmas stack which I am trying to plough my way through. I am determined not to buy anymore Xmas stuff this year! ( yeah right pickle keep telling yourself that lol)
I added a bit of leftover ribbon a few pearls and voila!
Sorry about the fuzzy photo but it is extremely dark here today and my daylight lamp needs a new bulb :(
I saw a similar idea on pinterest but unfortunately the link didn't work so I cannot give the details of where it came from. Anyway this is my take on it using some scraps of linen card and a bit of distress ink ...a couple of googly eyes and voila! I plan on making some matching boxes with sweets in for my great nieces and nephews for Halloween.
cardmaking and a huge cookie all my fave thin gs in one :) lol
My mojo has been a bit off just lately so I got the crochet hook out and made a few flowers ready to go on some slippers I am making for chrimbo pressies. I got a bit carried away and had a few spare so I thought I would try and make a card with some.
Here is the result
I added a bit of sewing for interest but still thought the kraft was a little plain so I just dotted with a brown marker. Now it looks like a huge cookie lol
Hi all, Hope you are having a good week so far. Mine didn't start off to well yesterday as I had a little fall down the stairs..nothing to serious just a scrape and a bump but I broke 3 nails....disaster!! lol
Hi all, hooray it's Friday :) do you have any plans this weekend? not sure what we will be doing I might go and see the Dark Knight Rises now all the crowds will have gone down. I can't stand going to the Cinema when it's packed all that crinkling of packets and heads in the way and especially for Christian Bale. I can't have anything distracting me or getting in the way of my of perviness :) well and the fact that people tend to stare when I drool lol
Anyway onto my card for today
My lovely friend Ruth has recently released some stamps with Tonic Studios called pick of the bunch.
I simply stamped one of the roses twice, coloured with prisma pencils and decoupaged it to give a bit of dimension. Then I added a few of the ivy leaves from the set again coloured with prismacolor pencils, cut out and adhered with foam pads.
The sentiment is computer generated and I added a bit of hand stitching to frame
Some of the sets will be featured on create and craft on Sunday at 5pm
Back to my first love of CAS which these stamps work so well for.
