Here's the first

Thank you

Here's a quick card I made using a very old stamp

Design stamped onto white linen card using versafine ink
The thanks and border are computer generated and hand cut
Bit of organza ribbon and a trio of gems to finish

The decorating is done..Hooray!!well on that room anyways, it's never ending really isn't it? By the time you've gone through the whole house it's time to start over in the first room again. I've been trying to convince hubby that the living room needs doing but he's not keen . It doesn't really but I've hated the wallpaper on the feature wall since about a week after I put it up ...I might have to damage it ..by accident of course : p lol

Hope you are having a great weekend

>>>Sorry for the lack of posting over the last few days. I had the silly, Sorry VERY silly  idea to do a bit of decorating..Why do these things always take much longer than first expected eh? Hopefully normal service will resume this weekend. :)

Have a great weekend all

Bears again lol

.....but different bears though  :p Maybe I should change my blog name to A load of old bears??? eh eh ?
I decided to have another go at Fimo. The last attempt about 2 years ago latest for all of an hour before I lobbed all the clay back in the box and screamed DISASTER DARLING!!!

My first attempt this time was a little better

Although as you can see I got the proportions a little wrong lol
By that time a was getting used to it and made this little beaut

 Complete with jewels lol

Not very often I say this cos I generally find it hard to blow my own trumpet...but I am well proud of this second one ..I think I did good especially for a second attempt, no books etc.what do you reckon??
I can't wait to have another play, got to go and get some more fimo though ( I can see  hubbies eyes rolling now lol)

A card I did not enjoy making

As some of you will know I am a regular on the Docrafts forum and on Wednesday we had the devastating news that one of our beloved members LizG had suddenly passed away. So very very sad :(
Usually I don't make sympathy cards simply because I just don't enjoy making them so I usually buy them. But somehow that just didn't seem right

The flourish/flower is a font called ornament flowers
sentiment fonts are Garamound and Atlast greeting
I simply added a couple of tiny butterflies and a few gems to highlight.

Diddy slippers

A few people have been asking if I've done any more crochet lately
well here's a teeny tiny pair of baby slippers I've just made

I followed this ladies fabulous Tut on youtube
If you are new to crochet you should check out her tuts wow they are fab and she explains everything so well even a numpty like me can understand them lol
I did use a thinner yarn and a slightly smaller hook then the one she used ...............
.................If only I had a baby to fill them :(

Think I'm feeling confident enough now to get some decent yarn and some more hooks rather than this cheapo stuff see if I can produce something a bit more special :)

The verdict is in....

Remember me telling you that the lovely people at the Daylight company asked me if I would agree to trial one of their daylight table lamps? Well the little beaut arrived last week and I couldn't wait to get it set up and working. It was packaged brilliantly and had super simple instructions for assembly. I say assembly lightly mind as It was really just take it out of the box and slot the lamp into the base  lol

When I first received it I was surprised at how big it was but as you can see it fits nicely on my table top and because it has such a long reach I can position it directly over my work if needs be with no worry about it toppling over as the base is heavy making it very sturdy indeed. The magnifier is also super handy . If I'm honest I'm not sure I would have gone for one with a magnifier but now I've got it I can see it is gonna come in useful for so many things. It's great for colouring as you can get into the little fiddly bits no probs and it will also come in super useful for my crochet work too and no need to worry about it getting damaged or the sun shining on it and burning anything as you can see in the piccie it comes with a cute little protective cover..yes they really have thought of everything! lol

The reason for me wanting a daylight lamp in the first place was because my little room is facing  the wrong way and can be quite dark especially in this awful blighty weather and we all know how hard it can be to match colours if we do any crafting at night! Well I was actually shocked how much light this lamp gives off and the quality of it too! It really is just like natural light..shocking how much truer colours are too!
So my verdict is in and  it scores 10 out of ten for me. So mr Daylight Company I hope you don't want it back cos you'll have to fight me for it lol

Snow peeps

Christmas is fast approaching so it's time to start making the odd crimbo card I suppose. As much as it grieves me to even mention the C word so early it has to be done doesn't it ??? hopefully this year I can avoid the run round like a headless chicken scene ..lol

The cute snowman is one image from one of the offers of the month over at the Digistamp Boutique called Snow Peeps

I couldn't resist making a little bag to go with :)

oh dear...

I seem to be developing a "thing" for making boxes...lol

I've got no idea what I'm gonna use this one for lol

The paper is the same as a few days ago but again I just changed the colour in page plus
It has all been distressed/ over stamped and inked with antique Linen distress ink
sentiment is computer generated using papyrus and french script MT
The corner where made using an xcut diamonds border punch
flowers/laves handcut

Again different for me with the "old" look but they say a change is as good as a rest huh?
Thanks for stopping by today and have a good weekend

The papers are from sweet shoppe designs from one of the quarterly assortments
As always I coloured the image with prisma color pencils and the sentiment was computer generated using bookworm font.

Well after my experiment yesterday with the box for my sis. I thought I'd have another go but this time incorporating a card too.

As you all now I have a bit of a thing for bears. Well out of all the bears in all the world this little cutie is my absolute fave ...Coco from digistamp Boutique = utterly and gorgeously cute!

Deffo unlike me to go fru fru with the design but hey ho I fancied a change from CAS lol

Talking of the Digistamp Boutique ...today is release day and there are some right little beauts again this month
A super cute snowman set
and sum summer fun too.

Click on the pics to go to the site

Pop over to the shop and have a nose...go on you now you want to!

Quite excited today as this just came :) :) :)
Remember I was asking a couple of weeks ago for advice as to which daylight lamp to buy
Well the lovely peeps over at The Daylightcompany have very kindly asked me to do a review on one of their lamps. I do get asked quite a lot to do reviews on this and that but generally I decline ...but how could I refuse one of these beauts eh?

It'll be out the box and in full test mode very shortly and I'll be back to tell you what I think

Thanks for stopping by today and for all your lovely comments over the past few weeks/ I know I am being a bit of a bad blogger again recently...apologies

...Here's a little draw box I made to put choccies in for my sis.
She's having a tough time with family problems at the mo and is feeling really down bless her.

No template used I just made it up as I went along lol
The sentiment reads:
When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry
Show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile

I was very naughty cos all the choccies I bought didn't fit so I had to eat the 5 remaining ones ..well it would have been rude not to...wouldn't it?? :-p
