Saturday

Thanks a lot

Here is a little card and carton I made for my Nan just to say thanks for being there for me.
She is 91 and sharp as a tack still! Very caring and just well the best Nan ever! Full of wisdom and good advice and she tells it to you straight no faffing IYKWIM lol

The little card is a6 andIi simply added a strip of paper which is part of a free download
From Zoe Pearn
I made the circle sentiment myself using word and the flowers are punched using an x cut punch

I made the milk carton with the aid of my hougie board using my own measurements then covered a bull dog clip with matching paper.
I filled it with my nans fave diabetic sweeties.

Really looking forward to this weekend, nothing much planned just taking it easy might pop out for lunch one day, do a bit of crafting maybe a tad of tidying in the garden if the sunshines at all.
I hope you have an equally relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

Thought it was about time some of my poor neglected Elzybells had a bit of an outing as I thought they went perfectly with these dotty papers from the sweet candy paper pack over at The Clipart Fairy.

I stamped the images in black memento ink and coloured with my prisma color pencils
Cut them out using my rectangle plain and scallop nestabilties
Punched a border along the backing papers with a scallop xcut border punch
The sentiment is from a pollycraft designs stamp set
the little flowers were punched using xcut punches
I added a few gems to finish

New Arrival

I made my card today with one of the newer releases over at a Passion for stamps
I tried to keep it muted and unisex so chose to only add a bit of brown shading with prisma color pencils.

The image was then cut out with large circle/circle scalloped nesties and mounted on 3d foam
I embossed the background using a cuttlebug folder
and added a bit of ribbon and faux pearls to finish

Hope you like

Just Because

A couple of quick cards I made just because I liked the idea and needed to fill up my card box.
Pretty similar to my other designs this week.
The paper is from a pink petticoat download called lolas boudoir.
I edited the colours in page plus and printed sentiments to match which I then cut out with nesties.
Added a few punched flowers, beads and gems and voila!

Here in olive green

and another in purple

Ivory phase ...

...continued lol
Another one of my new years resolutions was to try and not make every card with a stamped image on.
We can so easily get stuck in a rut can't we?

For this card I printed the sentiment
and cut out using a set of nesties label dies

The background is once again made doing simple scoring on my hougie board
I made some rolled paper flowers and used a woodware grass punch for some leaves then I ink the edges of everything with antique linen distress ink.

Yes you guessed it more ivory linen card was used here ..pmsl
I printed the sentiment and cut out as above

I BP is from a pink petticoat download called lolas boudoir
I altered the colour in page plus to this lovely golden shade
I embossed a border using the Hougie board, then simply diecut/punched a couple of flowers and
added a couple of gems to finish.

The image is from the Cute Wedding Collection over at Digi Stamp Boutique. I absolutely adore these images as they started life when I asked Sally-Ann if she could create something for me to use for some things for my nieces wedding...so they are special to me

I printed the digi onto Linen card and simply highlighted with a brown prismacolor pencil
The background embossing was done on my hougie board
The flowers are a cuttlebug die and xcut punch and the leaves are a woodware grass punch
I computer generated the sentiment and added pearls and highlighted with a sakura stardust pen

This one is using one of the images from this months offer of the month
Pippa and Sonny Love Collection

Tuesday

Beautiful day

Here a couple of cards I have made using one of the many new releases from The Clip Art Fairy
For these ones I used The green stamped effect frames set
I used the interactive version but it also comes in ready to print format

For this first card I simply printed the image 3 times and matted onto some linen card
I did the sentiment myself and printed directly onto the card blank
I then added a touch of glamour dust around the edge of the frames for a bit of dimension
The photo REALLY doesn't do this card justice ..even hubby commented on how nice it was IRL (highly honoured! lol)

Again I printed the image onto linen card and generated the sentiment myself to coordinate
The background was embossed using my hougie board.
I reaaly like this quilted look simle but effective I think!
I added a bit of ribbon and a couple of gems to finish.

Pop over to The Clip Art Fairy and see what else is going on
Wendy has some fab stuff and for a bit more inspriration you can see her fab cards here

CAS Love

Here a couple of very CAS cards made using some of the fab new releases at Digi Stamp Boutique

I absolutely adore this image from the valentine bird collection and have you seen the new sentiments?

I printed the card and sentiment directly onto the card and simply added a red gem
to one of the hanging heart. I embossed the border using my hougie board and added a simple ribbon to finish.

Again a very simple card incorporating both the valentine bird collection and the brand new valentine sentiments. I simply added a bit of glamour dust to the hanging hearts and embossed a couple of lines onto the card. the sentiment was cut using rectangle nesties and mounted onto 3d foam for a bit of dimension.
I love how these two cards turned out. So simple and easy to do too as there was no colouring involved :)

Hope you like them and thanks for stopping by

Ruth's Roses

Here's a little card I have made using one of Ruth's beautiful floral digi images
This one is called two roses and you can find in over on a passion for stamps

The image is so beautiful it doesn't really need a lot doing to it. I printed it out onto linen card and added my own computer generated sentiment then simply coloured it with prisma color pencils and matted onto some black card . The border was cut using an xcut border punch and I added a few faux pearls to finish.

Ruth has realised some fab images recently...super adorable baby images which I can't wait to work with ...just got to get 100% better after this stupid bug.

I started with the flu which turned into super bad tonsillitis and ended up with quinsy (abscess). I have had to have it drained OMG Don't want that again in a hurry.... I can tell you!!! And now I have sinusitis!! Got antibiotics but they don't seem to be doing a great deal.Although I do feel much brighter today, not half as achy so hopefully that part is over with! But you wouldn't want to be around me at the mo...moan moan moan...lol Hubby has even deserted me and moved into the spare bed :( apparently I am dripping with germs!!! HMMMPPPHHHH

Anyway enough of my moans lol hope you are all well . Will try and pop over and have a peek at all your lovely blogs over the next few days.
TFSB and thanks for all your lovely get well wishes

All Blue

Wendy at the clipart fairy has released some beautiful new stuff recently and I need to get my creative juices flowing again after the hols so here are a couple of quick cards made from a new product which is available both ready to print and interactive .

I used the interactive version which can be found HERE
In each version there are 2 frames with a stamped effect flower, one flower is the black outline and the other is the same flower image with the areas in white so you can colour themyourself.
The All Blue range co-ordinates with the papers from this set HERE

The co-ordinating backing paper I used is currently a freebie on Wendy's blog HERE

I coloured the images with prisma colour pencils and added a few coloured accents.
The pictures look a little grey sorry about that it seems it's rubbing off from thew sky here today which is absolutely awful...grey, miserable, murky!!! yukk roll on spring!!
IRL they are actually a beautiful pale blue colour and the purples and blues
I chose to colour them with really pop.
If you pop over to Wendys blog you can see a more true to life example of the colour

Happy 2011

Just a quick post to wish all my readers and followers a very happy 2011
Thank you for all your lovely support and encouraging comments over the past year
