An angel without wings???? and some news

I am super excited to tell you that the lovely Wendy over at The clipart fairy has asked me to be the first member of her design team. I only discovered Wendy's fab site a few weeks ago and I have really enjoyed working with the graphics so, How could I refuse?

Here are a couple of projects I have been working on using some of the graphics/digi stamps

For this one, I used one of a set of digi stamps called winter wishes angels
You get 5 character stamps and a sentiment for 65p Yes you read that right 65 p!!!!!!
For this one I cut her wings off ! Because this is for my great Niece Hattie who is 2 going on 22..and believe me she is NO angel lol her nickname is Horrid Harriet
I coloured the image with prisma pencils
I sparkled the background up using a large sheet of double side tape
and punched out the snowflakes and then sprinkled with glamour dust.
I printed the sentiment from the computer.

My second project is using the ready to print graphics
this one incorporate christmas caroler boy B
and christmas carolers
I simply layered them up in page plus and printed onto tissue paper
then heated onto the candle

These are for my nieces kids to give as xmas thank yous to teaching assistants
and the ladies who look after them in afterschool club etc
I had to make 8 in total, which was a breeze using Wendy's fab graphics

Here they all are

I hope you like my latest creations and please do pop over to the clipart fairy site and have a browse.
I will not be held responsible for any spends
Wendy also has a great blog here offering some great freebies and another here giving tutorials of how to print the graphics and make up the cards .

We had a little smattering of snow in the night and it's looking absolutely gorgeous outside. I am even starting to feel a bit Christmassy :)

Take care and keep warm peeps

Edited to add:
A lot of people have asked me how to do the candles.
There is a great tut here on SCS and a fair few on youtube too. It's the same basic technique except I printed my images onto tissue paper rather than stamped. To do this I cut a piece of tissue paper slightly smaller than A4 then I taped that onto a sheet of copier paper to allow me to feed it throguh my printer. All printer are different so I can't guarantee it will work on yours but It works fine on my 2 epsons. You must remember to tape the tissue down onto the copier paper all the way around though. And I always pur my settings on to text and picture so as not to use too much ink as this can bleed.
Hope that helps

Smelly box

Here are couple of little treats I made to go in the ladies stocking this crimbo
A little votive and some smelly candles to go in them all from ikea

I used a milk carton template which I got off the Internet and tweaked the measurement to fit my project
I printed the card myself using a free paper download ( not sure where from I will check and get back to you)
The labels were also a free download
I then made a little box using my own template which snugly fits 3 tea lights in

Take a piece of card 20cm x 15.5 cms
score at 2 ..4..8..10..14 cms
then rotate the card and score at
2...4..18...16 cms
trim off the areas shown in the above picture and cut along the dashed lines. I rounded the corners off on mine just to give a nicer finish
I then cut an aperture using my spellbinders labels die and covered with a piece of acetate from some old packaging
You end it with this
fold into the box shape and decorate as desired

The whole thing cost me 50p to make :)
Hope you like and thanks for stopping by

cute xmas

Here's another couple of xmas cards to add to my pile. I will still have nowhere near enough.. Why do I always say "I'm gonna start early ya ya ya " but I never start early enough/make enough lol oh well Clinton's here I come...oh I know..The shame!!! lol

For my first card I have used one of the new releases from digi stamp boutique
How cute are these nativity kids???????????? bless um!

I coloured the image with prisma color pencils
the snowflakes are an xcut punch and the sentiment is from studio g set

This one is something different. As I said in my previous post I recently discovered the clip art fairy
great graphics/digi's at super prices. I purchased this one as a single graphic and just printed a few and decoupaged up and added a bit of glamour dust. I really like the effect and I had forgotten how relaxing it is to sit and do a bit of cutting out.

Hope you've had a good weekend

happy christ ..... mouse

Here's a little card I made using a cute digi image from the clip art fairy
25p!! what a blinkin bargain!

The background card is ..yep you guessed it an old cereal packet on which I stamped and embossed some white snowflakes
I added a couple of strips of pastel card and strip of DST which I then covered with glamour dust
I coloured the image with Prisma colour pencils
The sentiment is from a studio g clear set which I also embossed and then matted onto nested circles
I added a bit of glamour dust and some faux stitching to finish.

I have to add that this card looks much better IRL I am pleased with for a change..miracle, I know lol

I am entering this card into the following challenges

Love Love Love....

....Love is all you need

Told you I was in love with these new characters from Digi Stamp Boutique!
They are a dream to colour and so darn cute! Don't you think?

These ones are from one of this months new release/offer of the month
Called Valentine Characters.

Printed this one onto parcel paper and coloured with prisma pencils

The backing paper on this is a pink petticoat download, printed onto
parcel paper and again coloured with prismas

I made my own backing paper for this one by simply doodling onto some card
with a sakura white pen. Again the image was coloured with prisma pencils.

Sorry about the quality of the photos .... really struggling to get any decent light
