You're SEW Special

Hi all, 

Ooooh my have you seen these new release sets from

The Digistamp Boutique

As soon as I received these little beauts I couldn't wait to get down to some craftyness

I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it as it's coming upto hubbies aunties bday and she is mad about sewing :) I think Sally-Ann must have read my mind 

The papers I use are from an old K&Co pad classic K Mckenna

I paper pieced the sewing machine and pin cushion

 I used some real pins for to stick in the pin cushion and snipped one down for the needle in the machine

Wound some thread around the reel and down from the needle and added some fabric through with a little pearl to finish the dial

I scored a lattice background using my hougie board and adhered small pieces of paper in a random pattern to give the impression of patchwork

I finished with some hand stitching around the main image and background

It's your special day

Hi all,

 Well is it the same kind of a day where you are as it is here?? Grey, damp and very bleurgghhh looking? Miserable for some , but not for us crafters eh? Perfect to snuggle up in my little room and get the colouring pencils out with a nice cuppa :) :) 

Onto my card for today which I've made using a lovely digi stamp from

  The Clipart Fairy

She is called Cassidy-it's your special day

I coloured her with prisma pencils

The papers are a free download from shabby princess called expressy yourself

flowers are from Tim Holtz tattered florals die

The ribbon and matting are actually a dark brown although they are coming across as black in the piccie ..silly camera again!

A bit of stitching and some gems to finish and there you have it!

Natures garden

Hi all,

Here's a pretty card I've made trying to use some of my mountain of scrap of paper 

The scraps are from the Prima Natures Garden Pad 

I cut them into different sized strips and adhered them to some ivory card before chopping into panels

The flower is made using Tim Holtz tattered florals die and the flourish is fanciful flourish by cheery lynn

I added a few gems and some printed text (atlast greeting font)

Here's a little CAS card I've made using one of this months sets from The Digistamp Boutique

A little birdie told me

The set comes in all individual pieces (Images and text) which allows you to make your own composition for any number of occasions. I simply created my scene within a frame , printed it onto ivory card , coloured with prisma colour pencils and decoupaged the birdie and house. 

Then matted it onto another piece of ivory card and onto the base.

It seems like it's been ages since I posted. I do hope you haven't all deserted me??? I've been struck down with a god awful virus . Hi all, 

After I finished making the anniversary card the other day. I decided to have a little play whilst I had all the stuff out and here are the results

 This was my first attempt. I like it a bit but maybe it's a bit to fussy for my tastes

Second attempt which I LOVE..much more me 

Then I decided to do something a bit different and have a go with this

  free template from Nichole heady

 My nan loves to feed the birds so I popped some bird seed inside and gave it to her for easter instead of choc as she is diabetic :) she loved it !

Today I'm here to show this Pretty card I've  made as GDT for 

Crafty Sentiments Designs

We are doing a few sneaky peaks of some fabulous new releases, out on the 10th April 

This one is called Annabel pregnant and it will be released along with some other stunning Stamps .

I've coloured the image with prisma colour pencils 

and used my hougie board to create a lattice pattern again. ( I know I'm addicted lol).
The other embossing is a cuttlebug folder,
cheery lynn fanciful flourish die (sorry I just can't stop myself )  and tim holtz tattered florals
hand sewing a a few gems to finish

ivory on ivory

Hi all , 

I hope you are having a fab bank hol weekend. We had planned a few things but I've done something to my back and at the moment I'm walking around like Quasimodo :(  So our plans haven't come to much ..oh well!

I've made this card for my mum and step dads wedding anniversary on Tuesday

It's an 8x8 card made from papermill direct ivory card

I scored the background into a lattice pattern using my hougie board

I stamped the flowers and mat with antique linen DI with a flourish

The swirls/leaves is cheery lynn fancilful flourish die

flowers are Tim Holtz tattered florals die

I added a bit of stitching a few inked edges and some gems to finish.

Ideally I would have liked to have printed the sentiment lighter but as  you may know if you are a regular visitor to my blog that my mum has very little sight so I wanted her to be able to see it  and that's also the reason I wanted to add so much texture :)
