Hero

The LIM challenge got me thinking that I make to many cards using an image as a focal point and as I was trying to sort out my digis I came across this little kit which was a freebie from?????Again :( Oh dear I really don't know how I've got in such a jumble with all this stuff but I have resolved to try and get it all into some sort of order again. Maybe then I can try and find out where some of the unnamed stuff comes from
Anyhow here is today's offering

I never really thought about it when I was making this card but I think I may have had my dad in my mind when I was puting it together.
It would have been his 70th birthday today.
He died on Nov 14th 1989 11 weeks after receiving a heart transplant at the age of 49.
He had to endure so much pain and ill health during his short life but he was one of those people who always had a smile and could instantly make you feel better about anything in a single glance. How he managed to stay so positive when he was going through what he was I will never comprehend.
I am so proud to have had such a brave and beautiful man as my Dad

 3 weeks after his transplant

MY HERO
love you Dad and miss you every day
xxxxxx

Oh Kerry, what a wonderful tribute to your Dad. Losing a parent is devastating at any age but when they are so young it seems doubly cruel. My Dad died from cancer at the age of 52 and I always think about him too. Your card is beautiful and I'm sure your Dad would have been so proud of his talented daughter. xxxxx

What a fabulous card and even better reason to make it. I lost my Dad to lung cancer 4 years ago in August - like most little girls, he was my hero too. Hugs x

I love you card Kerry and I bet your dad would have loved it. Thank you for sharing your story, he sounds like he was a great man. I have been struggling with a card for my cousin for months, I had all the bits sorted and wanted to use the same layout as you have used on this card but it just didn't work, however much I tried. The other day I saw this card and it worked for me, i didn't have the compostion right, so I hope you don't mind but I have used our layout. Thank you so much for your constant inspiration xx
